Delhi shop found serving pomegranate juice mixed with chemicals

Two people were detained on Tuesday for allegedly selling pomegranate juice mixed with chemicals in Delhi’s Rajinder Nagar area. After receiving information about a chemical being mixed in the juice sold at the shop, police arrived at the spot and found a substance that has been sent for testing.
When confronted, two workers at the shop, identified as Ayub Khan and Rahul, claimed that the owner of the shop, Shoaib, had instructed them to mix the chemical in the juice.

A Food Safety Inspector was called who collected a sample of the substance that was recovered from the spot. Police said that further action against the accused will be taken based on the findings of the report.
According to sources, Ayub and Rahul were assaulted by locals before they were reported to the police
